Hi,

I having a little issue if anyone has any ideas? I need two SCA(80pin) to SCSI HD68 pin converters that are LVDcompatable if you have any suggestions?

I have a standalone Dell PC a Dimension 5150 small formfactor which has a PCIE bus. I'm looking to get a Adaptec 29320LPEsort of controller and will need the converter to connect up the SCSIdrive.

I have to perform a backup / diskcopy of the drivers installed within a server. What I was planning to do is simply take a disk out of the server and stick them into a stand-alone PC with the right controller and copy them there, I don't think we can rely on the servers OS to be able to do this so a bitcopy is the only approach. I was going to use G4U to do the copy for us, or we could use Ghost,as long as it can copy the whole discs, block for block, it should befine. It's an Old HPUX server hence the reason why I'm looking at this option, any recommendations suggestions would be gratefully recieved.

Thanks in advance.

Peace

HP_UX is not compatible with i386 or x86 - 64, it only supports Itanium or RISC

Might it be easier to do things the other way?

For example, connect an IDE or SCSI drive in the HP-UX server, boot off a CD that has Ghost on it, then image the HP-UX disks to the IDE/SCSI one you just installed?
