We have a water well approximately 30meters deep and want to see what condition the aquifer is in, i.e. depth of water, rock formation etc. What I think I would need is a borescope/camera led lite no more than 20mm diameter and 30meters of flying lead with colour display on top anybody have any idea where I can purchase the equipment from?

This could be an answer, but it would require modification as USB only works up to 5 metres(according to wiki).

Funnily enough I did look at that, would be fine, just plug into the laptop and away you go but if the usb only works to 5 meters then it's not going to be deep enough.

if you can find one of these that will fit through your 20mm hole, it should do the job with a cat5 patch lead. Or perhaps that bulky plastic casing could be binned and some heatshrink put on instead.

Do report back when you find a solution; it's always satisfying to get a result that required more brain than money.
