can anyone give me some info on plasma tv,s,is it true that they need re gassing after a couple of years and serviced regulary, cheersforany help

Total rubbish I'm afraid on both counts. Most models are rated for 30,000 hours, after which they don't go pop, they just lose brightness/contrast very gradually. 'Public Display' models are rated for 60,000 hours and are less prone to image burn-in - but at the expense of brightness.

But as a reseller of such beasts I'll happily sell you one at a match-the-internet price and - er - send you a bill every 12,000 miles for re-gassing and servicing if you want
