I am having trouble connecting to the internet to download the mail.
I have spoken to Yahoo and the mail is at the server, and I can access it through Yahoo but OE won't access it, just says unable to connect. I inputted all the settings thst had been lost, but still no joy. The only thing that Yahoo can suggest is to clear the account and start again. This is fine, but I don't want to loose all the e mails I have saved. How do I save them before I delete everything to start again?
Thanks in advance.
Graham.
PS. could this problem be something to do with changing to a wireless modem/router or is it just coincidence?

No help at all, but i often have a similar problem with outlook while trying to connect to the btinternet server.

Sometimes it just doesnt work

I find that if i close Outlook down, then restart it, it works fine

Mrfibbles, looks like you were right. Cleared the account and reinstalled but it still would not work, then lo and behold, yesterday morning, just started working again! The mind boggles?

You can save emails from Outlook by doing File/Import & Export/Export to a File and choosing Personal Folder File as the file type. They can then be re-imported using a similar method. Edited to say ignore this message - I've just realised you're using OE, not O!

You are right John, by using Outlook you can use the import/export function to save them. I have not tried importing them back yet, but see no reason why not.
Thanks,
Graham.
