Think I may have a virus???

I keep getting emails returned to me that state an email I sent to somebody I don't even know has had permanant failures or user unknown. These come from various admins for different users. I know I have not sent these emails and nothing appears in my sent items. The odd thing is I don't even know these users not their email addresses and they do not appear in my contacts!!??!

Is this a virus? I hope not as I have AVG Pro on my PC...any ideas???

Sounds like MyDoom, and not necessarily at your end. Might actually be at theirs.

Best to get your AVG up to date and run a scan anyway.

Yep, updated and scanned - nothing! How can it be at their end????

Virus is spoofing your email address and sending messages to [e-mail].
When these fail to be delivered (as 99% of them will), their mail server will return them to you, as its your address they purport to originate from.
