I have a problem with an HP LaserJet 2200..... it seems to randomly select any character on a print, and alter the size of it.

ie all of the "L"s are printed at varying sizes accross the page!

Tried resetting the printer, but no joy..... any ideas?

Was that reset via menu or switching it off then on again?

Some obvious questions:
Have you updated the printer drivers recently?
Does it do it in every program you print from?
Have you installed any other new software recently?

It is a network printer.

It has had a "Cold Reset", clearing all settings and NVRam

Apparantly all of the machines on the network have been "upgraded" in the last week (To what extent I don't know)

Sorry to be so vague!

I has hoping for an "Oh yes, just turn it upside down, kick it three times and it'll be sorted!"

Just about to re-install the drivers and take it from there.

I would suggest talking to whoever did the 'upgrade' and get them to sort it pronto!
