Can anyone point me in the right direction for a wiring diagram for the 15 pin connector on a monitor lead.

One of our employees caught the lead in a door when moving the monitor and has ripped some of the cables out of the PC end of the cable.

I've tried to take the monitor apart to see the internal cabling and replace the cable but there is no access internally.

I've bought a replacement for the PC end (£2.48 from Maplin) but they don't have a wiring diagram.

Any assistance much appreciated as I don't really want to scrap the monitor as it's a nice TFT.

Simon.

Don't suppose you know what colour each wire should be by any chance ?

I have 4 wires that have been ripped from their pins and don't have a clue which is which.

I would be very surprised if there are any standards on colours. Unless it's a very expensive monitor, lob it and buy a new one. You don't want to fry the PC as well....

If it's expensive, then get an expert to fix it.

All IMHO of course

Do you have a similar screen you could open the connector on?

I would imagine the colours of the wires would be the same, so get your soldering iron out and copy it...
