As the title says really, are any of the networks doing a monthly plan where you get the iPad plus connectivity?

Doubt it. iPad isn't a phone (unless you count VOIP).

Buy one on HP, and add a data package.

Erm, it uses 3G (well, the 3G model does, obviously the "just Wifi" one doesn't), so yes, O2, Vodafone etc would be the ones to provide connection.

3G ones aren't available in the UK yet.

If I could get hold of a few, this is exactly what I would do.

I mentioned in an earlier thread O2 should sell them on a monthly package to make them more affordable. Say £25 per month on a 36 month contract to include web and they'd go like hot cakes.

The o2 website doesn't work on my iPad, was trying to find out about the 3G tariffs.

Seems to work on mine?

I'm not sure that a network provider has to sell these things to the public with connectivity, anybody can providing they have enough hardware and can go through credit checking etc.....hmmmmm, food for thought scratchchin

Only a matter of time. I think they are holding off on subsidy sales until they have got through the major part of the demand, and have got the ability to keep up with production.

You have to remember that they still haven't launched it everywhere yet!

You mean your iPad doesn't work with the O2 website.

Yes that's what I meant smile

Is it true you can cut the sim down from a pay monthly contract and use it? I've got four people in my house hogging the wifi so I want to look at alternative options.

You certainly can, pretty straight forward from what I've heard.
