I've been thinking about a 3GS iPhone (even though the 4G is coming) but at the weekend saw a Dell Steak smart phone, it appeared to be really good, if slightly large.

Anybody used both?

Huumm Steak.

At a 5" screen I'd hate it as a phone.

as rev said above, hold on a month or so - the 3GS is due to come down in price with the introduction of the 4G iPhone

If the Andriod OS is any good I'm tempted with the Dell.

Had a look at the HTC Desire yesterday too, now I'm undecided on iPhone, Dell Streak & HTC Desire.

The N-Gage. Thats what I first thought of when I saw the Streak. All the best intentions, some cracking games, but with design and marketing by a bunch of incompetent monkeys. Shame that they haven't moved on much since then.

I had a play with the Streak the other night, it MASSIVE for a phone, but not quite big enough for a tablet.

I can see it being used in warehouses for stock stuff paired to a headset. But you would not feel comfortable using it as a phone, it's enormous by todays standards.

The desire will do all of what the streak will do i think, and is much more compact.

Think its called UAE. You need a kickstart rom relavent to the machine you wish to emulate (500 /600 /1200), which can be got from the ususal suspects...

Got it working on Ubuntu - works ok but has trouble wiht certain graphics
