If you want some fun get yourself one of these..

http://www.amazon.co.uk/TV-GONE-OFF-.../dp/B0015UR...

I had a lot of fun with mine the last time the WC was on!

I had to stop for a break tonight at a Motorway service station..

There were 3 large plasma screens on showing the footy.. I turned them all off from about 60ft away while pretending to read a magazine in the Smiths shop!

This is very childish I know, but harmless fun.

Try it in a busy pub and watch the ensuing riot preferably from afar.

I wouldn't get any fun from starting a load of trouble like that!

I do it at work in the canteen and stuff like that but that's about it.

biggrin

If you try it any where when the football is on you should be strung up by your bks and publicly flogged.

I was doing this back in the 80s.

My friend up the road had the same model TV as us. I'd sneak up with our remote when they were watching TV at night with the curtains open and mess with them.

Sometimes turn it off, switch channels, turn the sound up realy loud, put Ceefax/Oracle on. I'd casue all sorts of rows.

Eventually fessed up to my mate, and we continued the wind up on his and my parents for months.

Great fun enjoy yourselves.

I had one of those old Casio watches that could "learn" remote codes and fire them back when asked to.

Had much fun around mates' houses and at school randomly turning off/on TVs and video players or changing channel etc. Even taught the watch the codes for the projector so I could freeze the image and turn it upside down etc.

Kind of similar but when I had my MK2 Golf, I had a sony ipod unit and a friend of mine, unbeknown to me had the same one. As those this will know, MK2 Golf headunits sit right at the top of the dashboard, almost central to the rear window. I was driving along a road in town one evening and he was using his remote to skip my tracks, turn my settings of etc and be a general arse. I didn't know what was going on, so yes.. they are irritating and yes I have ordered one biggrin
