On another forum I was about to post an image using imageshack.us.

I was redirected from the imageshack homepage to something calling itself VSCAN7 which popped up a message saying my 'computer was at risk, click here (or similar)'. Needless to say I closed IE immediately.

My history shows a website called 92fc72.mybestprotecton.com (note protection spelt wrong, lol).

Just a warning to those that post images using imageshack to have good virus/firewall software.

(Awaits smug git telling me to use different browser like they do)

I think it's more likely to have been a pre-existing browser hijacker on your system. I'd do a scan using malwarebytes pronto.

3 minutes to the firefox remark! Well done!

Re: 2nd post, I always assume something that only happens at a website I visit infrequently is likely to be conected to them, though I am taking the Malware advice.

Interesting, I noted on here the other day that I had received a nasty virus after viewing pistonheads, several pages I visited had images, I wonder if any of them were hosted on image shack and if there is a connection!

Sorry about that.

If you own a Focus RS you need somewhere else to discuss it where every thread doesn't degenerate into a flame war on whether it should've been 4wd rather than fwd.
