I've recently (mid-late Feb) had a large upgrade on my PC (new HD, new motherboard, new processor etc) with an upgrade from Windows ME to XP.

IE is sometimes very slow and then crashes so I have to send these 'error reports'.

I'm trying to sort out a new guestbook for my website as my other one is broken.

I'm trying to edit the colours of everything, but I do the titles colours (for instance), that's fine. Then I go to change to colours of the next one, the window freezes and ends all of my IE windows that are open.

I do virus checks every Friday and the last one was fine, I don't have a clue what is wrong with the damn thing and it's REALLY annoying me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

TIA

Graham

Are your Windows updates -err- updated ? I had this problem, ran the essential updates and the recommended ones re: IE6 and the problem went away

Next thought, nothing running that shouldn't be ? Do you have a spyware blocker/detector ?

Ah, good point. I do on the old hard drive. I've not got round to bringing it over yet, same goes for ZoneAlarm I've been downloading and installing programs and updates and ZA is just too much hassle to keep track of things that need to be running.

This is about the fourth time I've mentioned it since joining PH (I have no affiliation etc etc) but spybot S&D finds most spyware and will immunise against getting any more
