It's now nearly 4 weeks since it was released and there are no stocks anywhere, not even direct from O2.

I have checked stocks in Kent, Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey, Essex and Berkshire.

I want to buy one but all the stores who have said they had some at the weekend had sold them before I got there.

Pretty annoying as they won't take payment by phone and put them to one side, so you drive to wherever and then pay to park only to be told they have all gone. Repeat several times over....

Begs another question, are people really not spending any money now or is a lot of the publicised recession just media BS?

Maybe I'll just keep the 3G smile
I have updated my software to the same version anyway. I notice I now have the folders thing and the look is a bit different so I guess they are pretty much the same.
I have yet to check how the multi apps running at the same time works but it should do.

If you go to Orange, pre order (£60 deposit) they will get it to you in 7 days. This is in store by the way, Direct don't get priority over retail stores.

I take it you have an HTC Evo then? If not, then are you just quoting some video from a smartarse trying to be funny with an unfounded opinion?

Most phones are 'brilliant' on paper, it's when you use them that you know whether they're any good or not. rolleyes

i got mine direct from O2. Just threatened to leave and voila, they have some in stock wink

I also got my email from Apple to say that my reserved one is at the store. I no longer need it but I could be greedy and have two biggrin

You need to either preorder it from the Apple store or threaten to leave O2.

Have you tried other networks? Mine was ordered from, and delivered by, Tesco Mobile last week. I was phoned by my local big Tesco store too, because they had received stock in.

I've got a relative working for one of the big mobile telcos so my contract is through a discount scheme... i've been told i've got no hope of upgrading until 'consumer demand is satisfied'. They won't even place the pre-order for me curse

No, I don't have an HTC Evo rolleyes

I have used all versions of iPhone so far, and I think they're crap rolleyes

They're over rated, and the users of them in general, are irritating and blinkered sheep, that will buy anything because it has an Apple logo on it. rolleyes

Oh, by the way, the rolleyes smiley is so patronising rolleyes

2 out of the 3 people in my team have their iPhones sent away to be repaired, because they're so poorly made and don't work anymore. The third got his about a week ago, so we'll wait and see.

I'm sure as long as you're holding it correctly, then it's wonderful!

Strange. I'm on o2 F&F, no problems like that at all.

Must just be Vodadrone then.

I've been told end of July at the earliest... at which point all those thousands of employees who've been denied so far are going to rush in their orders.

You do not have to tell o2 you are leaving...

I rang up o2 Customer Services last night, ordered a 4 there and then on the phone with no problems whatsoever, and I still had 10 months of my existing contract to go...

Did you have to pay the extra £20 per month to upgrade early for the ip4?

I wouldn't worry too much. As a guess, someone somewhere is working very hard to get the iPhone 4 aerial updated, and this could easily be holding stocks back right now.

My GF is after one to replace her old 3G as the battery is starting to go (that's her excuse anyway, I think she's a fangirl myself), and they had run out on Saturday at our local O2. Annoying really as I'd checked the stock during the week and they appeared to have plenty.

Anyway no big rush, I had a play with one in the shop and it didn't seem that different to me, apart from being faster.

Amazing that the 02 stores say they have no idea when they'll be in stock too. Surely they must be given some sort of idea.
