One for the PH forum. The situation:

I have 7 days left in my office. There is a weapon grade cock-end who spends the whole day pissing me off. If it's not playing his iPod too loud, or squeaking his chair, it's walking about on his bluetooth headset behind my desk talking in a loud middle eastern accent.

So, as I am struggling hard to give a st about relations in my office, how do I discretely take out his headset. Hiding it will be too obvious, so I need either a stealth of geek solution to take it out from a distance (given that I believe Tasers are not acceptable in the work place).

The best suggestion for revenge wins a gold plated nothing. (Or a raffle ticket for an Elise).

Put an 'Apple' sticker on it for the geek touch. An iHammer.

Whether or not he's wearing it at the time is entirely your choice.

Maybe try a really strong magnet. Failing that just tt the and smash his headset repeatedly into his head. If the bashing doesn't break it then the blood will surely fk the electronics up.

Surely it would be rude not to cover it in super glue? It takes a while to go off in air but once in contact with skin sticks like st to a blanket. Granted you will still have them talking on the ing thing but only until the battery dies/he loses skin getting the fker off.

Gents, some wonderfully appealimg ideas, however they aren't quite fulfilling the criteria of "stealth" and "distance".

Would a mobile phone jammer work (not that I would use one as that would be illegal...)

Could I rig up a small EMP charge from the remnants of a broken iPhone and a PC circuit board - I'm sure MacGyver could....

Hiding you say would be obvious but if you can get access to it for seconds just microwave it. It will never work again and should look fully intact. (10 seconds will be enough).

What would that actually do to it then? Are we assuming there's a PROM or EPROM in there that would be damaged by microwave? Or is it just heat that fries the chipset?

Fry the chipset. Always worked on in our lab(work tea making area).

fking get in there biggrin

If access is easy try low power rating first, too much PPPPOOOOOOOWWWWWWEEEERR can blow the thing apart smile

More sinister is to inject tea/coffee(lots of sugar please wink ) though the earpiece, usually works for a while until the sugar does its job.....

Yep, sadly it's the same company though, so I can't go DefCon5 on the mofo, hence the stealth attack wink

Most people leave the BT password at the default 1234 or similar... maybe you could change his so he can't pair his mobile to anything?
Or have you considered pairing it with his bosses mobile or something?

It's a wireless mouthpiece and earpiece connected to his desk phone, I've tried pairing with it but to no avail yet - I'm a bit of a technical luddite when it comes to stuff like that!

In that case, I stand by my original suggestion.

Just cut the wire to the desk part of his phone! Phone won't ring, and therefore he won't need the headset!
