I have a spreadsheet monitoring sales data that is updated on a daily basis. I have opened it today and when I enter the data the cells that are linked by a formula are not changing. The formula is in the cell but not working. If I re-enter the formula then it works but only once so that if I change the data again the formula is there but not working. If anyone can make any sense of my explanation have you got any suggestions. It's all worked fine for the last couple of years and I'm fairly sure that I've not changed anything????

Has automatic calculation been turned off?

Go to 'Tools:Options' and go to the 'Calculation' tab and check the 'Automatic' option is checked!

i think there is a short cut key stroke that toggles it on and off. Possibly involving shift/Ctrl and a function button.

On Some spreadsheet solutions i do I sometimes disable the Automatic Calculation as to many formula's. So if it isn't sorking just hit F9 to do a manual recaculation.
