Hi folks

I have a number of web sites that I want to host and have come to the conclusion that a reseller account will probably work out best for me, as I can host all current and future sites and perhaps offset a little of the costs by hosting websites for friends, family and associates.

At the moment I'm considering HostEurope's reseller package which I can get for £450 / year as I am an existing customer with their sister company 123-reg.co.uk

The package seems good (you can see it here) but before I take the plunge I'd like to do some research and see what else is on offer.

I know that some of our PHers either work for hosting companies, or else are resellers themselves.

I'd be interested in comments / recommendations / testimonials / whatever, either here or by direct email via my profile, the latter being advisable if it is negative bearing in mind Ted's "Name & Shame" policy.

My requirements are:
* Good bandwidth
* Sub-domains
* Genuine POP3 mail boxes (not just forwarders), pref. with webmail.
* Autoresponders, announcement lists, etc.
* Scripting: CGI, Perl, ASP, PHP4, etc.
* MySQL
* full stats

Anthing else on top of that would be a bonus.

Thanks in advance guys
Jon

I use Virtual Internet's SecureWeb 1000 - more details here:

I've been with them for several years now, and would certainly recommend them.

I have one with a company called Netwisp (www.netwisp.com), after the company I used to be with 49pence.com sold their Linux customers (They still do windows). Both companys are great and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend either.

With Netwisp I pay around £12/month (though it does vairy with £:$ exchange rate) and thats has (off the top of my head) 50 accounts (each account can have its own subdomains and alias') 50mySQL databases, 40gig transfer, 2 gig space on a pretty quick server.

The only thing is they don't seem to mention anything about it on their website (I think they run mainly with the customers they buy from other companies) but send an e-mail to Hal and I'm sure he'll set you up an account.

I use both oneandone and HostEurope. HE are good as you get unlimited space with their reseller package. OneandOne are also good but I have had problems with their support line. Chap I have spoken to several times didn't have a clue, but now I ask for people by name and usually get through with a short wait.

Not sure if it's what you're looking for but www.register1.net seem to be a good package, JamieBeeston runs it and when I emailed him answered very quickly and answered all my questions (there were lots).

I'm not sure it's what you're looking for mind?
