Has anyone on here used Mazuma mobile to sell their old phones? I've got 3 handsets i need to sell and they seem to offer good rates but there must be a catch?

Google "compare phone recycling" to see if you'd get a better price elsewhere.

Haven't used Mazuma but have used a few of their competitors. I just tried a few and went for the one that offered the best price.

Sent the phone off, received a confirmation email a few days later and the money was in my account the next.

Does the phone have to be in perfect working order?

No, but you have to declare this, and consequently you'll get less for it. A mate of mine regularly uses Envirofone and has sent them stuff in the past which was non-functioning.

Be careful, when I had to get rid of my N96 there was a scam site offering more than anyone else. I googled them and it turns out that they never give you top money, they give some crap about scratches and give really low money or charge for the handset's return.

Same as the money for gold scammers.

Jackal that's a but harsh, they give you reasonable value and you aren't exposed to any odd dealings on E-bay or similar. Try selling anything when you have little or no feedback.

I've used Mazuma and it is very good and simple as long as you're prepared to accept the lower price they offer. I used them because I couldn't be arsed with the hassle of eBay etc and it was easy.

I've always used Envirophone and i've never failed to be paid why they have originally offered. I once did have a problem with an iphone where they said it had a cracked screen. When I pointed out it was fitted with a screen protector 7 days later I got the full original offer paid.

Just an update:

Filled out the online stuff on the Sunday, received the freepost bag Tuesday and the cheque arrived on the Friday, didn't get top money for the phones but the service was great, would recommend it to anyone.
