Let me put it this way, your willing to give $25 to criminals who are ripping off companies and your expecting to get something in return?

No because I don't believe there is such a thing as 'a free lunch'
I was just interested if anyone had used it... as my suspicion is that this may be a credit card scam of some sort.

So you don't think there is anything dodgy about a company selling a product that retails for $650 for $25?

No worries.......incidentally I am purchasing the proper Adobe CS Upgrade...just that I posted a query on an Adobe newsgroup and someone from the 'pirate software' company wrote directly to me...hence my initial question

I bet their 'research tool' that you can 'discover the secret' of is just a copy of Kazaa. There's usually loads of software on there.

Having done a small amount of research, it seems that most of the links on that page point to www.perfect-shareware.com which is of course a scam. Here's someone who is pretty unhappy about it:

I am now being pestered by the chap who emailed me pointing me in the direction of the above site. So eventually I posted him the link that you had discovered Steve
This is his response.....
Did you happen to notice the Revision date of 03.20.2001?!. We are in the
year 2004 and this crazy Site has not been revised in three years! The poor
deranged Stalker who put this nutty Site together properly is now in a
Mental Hospital since it has not been updated in three years. I hope you
were smart enough not to let it put the Trojan program on your computer. If
you did then you will need a Trojan remover! I am guessing now since you
would believe such a thing that you are about 15 years old and would not be
able to become a member anyway since you do not have a credit card of your
own. (only a child would not realize how easy it is to dispute a credit card
charge when you do not receive what you paid for) Maybe the two of you might
become good friends when he gets out."

He seems to be putting a lot of effort in to try and gain $25 worth of business......what a plonker

Might be best to reply and let him know that you are actually 15 years old. Might get him off your back for good.
