I have had a laptop for 3 months or so but 2 keys have failed to respond. and it makes the laptop completely unusable to type.
The company have said they will not repair it claim under you home insurance to get it fixed. Then they said something has been spilt into the computer and not covered under warranty.
I have seen the laptop in pieces and to me it looks like they have spilt someting on it (could be an accident but could be deliberate) as when the laptop is put back together the piece that has got the dried liquid on is no where near the keys that dont work and also the mark is on the underside and the way they place it on the desk when opened. There is no external marks on the machine to suggest liquid spillage. so what can i do.????
I am writing a complaint letter to fax off and also was thinking of sending a letter to trading standards?
Any other ideas appriciated
Cheers
Steve
PS i have knowledge of 6 other laptops with keyboards failing and similar things happening to them but they paid £200 to get it fixed
