Internet Connection one day and not the other?

One of our home computers has developed a problem with its Internet connection.

Its on Broadband and works fine for a few weeks then it simply wont go back on line.
After a few weeks again it gets back on line, again....all without changing anything or touching the settings.

Does anyone have any ideas please......?

who is you provider? Perhaps best to contact them.

Im with BT which sometimes has trouble connecting, but usually suceeds after a few tries.

Thanks for the info, problem is now solved.
It was the actual cable which has got an intermittant fault.

Cant believe that we have suffered/put up with this for a few months now....hmmmmmmmm.
