iTrip - month of use report
Discussion
I've been using my iTrip on non-British roads (
) for about a month now and thought i'd post my thoughts and see how they compare to other users.
Pros:
- Great having that much music in the car. Feel like some rock... easy... feel like some dance... few clicks and i'm done.
- Easy to tune into the stations, was a bit annoying as my cd-player auto-tunes into the stations when you change the frequency. Luckily had some pre-sets that didn't clash with local radio. Also realised if i press the up or down key twice it stops the search
- Doesn't use up any real power from the iPod
- Can keep in glove compartment out of the way and still works great
Cons:
- I guess its the iPod, but i still don't get more than about 5hrs battery life
Need to buy a car power adapter soon
- On longer journeys its less useful as when you enter another area with a radio station on the frequency you're using you get distortion and can hear both signals
On known commutes it just takes a day or two to find out which stations you can use.
- I know Joust has problems in his X5 as the radio is so damn good... anything non-executive is fine though
So overall for the £20 it cost me its a fantastic piece of kit and i thoroughly recommend them.
