I own a number of domain names.

Wherever possible, I look to own the set of .co.uk, .com and .net versions.

I have just received an "invoice" urging me to send £60 "renewal fee" for a ".info" version of each of the domains I own.

I never registered a ".info" version in the first place.

Is this a scam?

Yup

It's quite common, You'll sometimes get a genuine renewal request from companies that you didn't initially register through.

They're toting for business. You can imagine a fair few dumb company secretaries falling for this kind of scam.

It is also illegal I believe and should be reported to either ASA or OFT
