Hi - first post in the Mercedes forum from my normal lurkings in the TVR forum so apologies if an obvious question!

Just picked up a nice 2001 ML55 AMG and wondered if anyone has recommendations on specialist insurers who offer a good package on vehicles like this?

Currently have my TVR Cerbera with Adrian Flux but they didn't seem to be very competitive on this one so far :-)

Many thanks

A-Plan seem to be pretty competitive on the ML63 as they have been on everything else I've got although, like most, they shy away from anything that's even slightly modified.

01635 874 646 - ask for Chris Chalk.

Wow - A-Plan quote £1,800+ with 10 years full no-claims bonus - scary!!

Anyone else got any good recommendations otherwise it's the Adrian Flux at just over the £1,000 mark which is still nuts IMHO eek

That is nuts as I'm paying c£500 on the ML63 with A-Plan confused

It's been sub £400 until the recent hikes.

Thanks Steve.

Well Adrian Flux are quoting £1,100.00 for the ML55 AND the Cerbera, so if you deduct the price of the Cerbera insurance from the total it comes in at £760.00 equivalent for the ML55 which is more palatable.

I'm in West London which probably doesn't help and will update the thread if I find any better quotes out there!

Try Henderson Taylor

Loads of people on the SELOC forum swear by him, and he was dirty cheap on my Exige @ £400 with 6 trackdays! Underwritten by Aviva, so its not cowboy stuff...

Thanks Matt and Allan - I'll give them both a go tomorrow!

Interesting that the TVR owners are buying an ML55 to help them jump start the TVRs when they refuse to work - had fun yesterday with a flat battery and petrol evaporated - love them both but for definitely different reasons spin

Admiral multi-car seems to be doing great - they allocated my 10+ years no claims to both the ML55 and the Cerbera as I obviously [without some serious trickery smile] won't be driving them both at the same time.

Came in about £590 p/a for the ML55 this way, and made the Cerbera slightly higher than current policy.

Phew!!
