Phone cradle prices

Wife paid some £140 for a phone cradle for the ML a year or so ago. I *thought* this price was for the "enabling" and initial installation.

Now that she wants to upgrade the phone to a later model we thought we'd find a cradle on-line for £20-£30 given that I can pair any phone with the car and the cradle only offers charging and access to the car-antenna but no, they're £178. WTF am I missing here?

Truth is, I can't sell it until I find one suitable for the Bold or even the Torch. They go for £115 on Ebay. I would be looking for something approaching that.

can you tell me which model of curve it fits. mine is an 8520

My wife has an 8900 but I think the cradle fits all Curves. Can't confirm though.
