2012 E Estate with low emissions
Discussion
When checking the Co2 emissions for the E250 CDI Estate Sport on the Directgov website (152g CO2 with 17" wheels), I came across a 2012 model with lower emmisions of 139g CO2. This brings it under the company limit of 150g. It's described as "E 250 CDI with 17" rear wheels ECO Start/Stop" here: http://carfueldata.direct.gov.uk/search-new-or-use...
Does anyone know when this 2012 model will be available?
The traditional model launch for the following MY is September, this essentially means any car ordered now will be MY2012 (unless you're getting a car already built or an existing production slot).
I know on the MBClub forum there are a few people trying to find a demo at the dealers to try, but they're not generally available.
The only thing to check is that CO2 is for a manual or auto box. MB have also announced that MY2012 will be fitted with the 7G box and not the current 5 speed auto, I also remember hearing that MB were intending to drop the manual. My MY2011 220BE Auto AV (17" wheels) estate is 162CO2 (doesn't bother me it's mine not a company car), I know the stop/start reduces CO2 a little and so will the 7G, but it's worth checking, IMHO you really don't want a car like this with a manual box.
I also understand that MY2012 is also getting the new Comand online as an option and the price has dropped significantly.
You'll get more details on MBClub forum.
