W124 radiator hose popped off

The little hose at the top of the radiator popped off my '93 280E last week. After pushing it back on and refilling the coolant it seems OK, although it looked like it'd worked itself slightly upwards again after driving ~250 miles (with regular checks!) when I looked at it this morning.

Is this a common problem and is it likely to do it again unless I change the mating 'plug' and/or radiator itself?

You might want to check for the signs of HGF - hoses shouldn't pop off like that.

Having owned K series that was the first thing I looked for Seemingly no oil/water mix and the engine still feels strong...
