SLK230K oil cap leak

Dear all

Have an old SLK230k for better or worse, well its hers i fix it! recentley started getting oil come back out of the oil cap on the cam cover, lost approx 750ml in 4days and its making a right mess.

There is no gunk or sludge on the filler cap for potential head gasket failure.

Any thoughts why its pushing it out of there? some breather blocked some were?

Any pointers would be appriciated.

Had this on mine, breather assembly on the right hand side of the engine needed cleaning out

Thanks, that has already been replaced.

Sadley under closer inspection it would appear that my cam/rocker cover has cracked and is weaping the oil out. The paint has bubbled and lifted in many places on the cover so i did not notice it had come from this not the cap of which I thought.

Got a feeling this will not be a cheap part!
