Perhaps the Mercedes posse can help me here. I have had my 2005 E350 Saloon for sale on PH and Auto trader for several weeks. It is perfect inside and out, it has pretty much every conceivable extra that Mercedes offer, it has absolutely nothing wrong with it, has lots of tax left and will soon get a new MOT. I have had one caller (from PH), who arranged to see it then didn't turn up (and didn't bother to call say he wouldn't turn up - tosser!) and no calls at all from Auto Trader. Has anyone any ideas other than reducing cost (now done at £10.5k). 65k miles if you were wondering.

Thanks for any suggestions. Wits end!

I've just bought a very similar car from a dealer with the same mileage, colour and most of the same toys. I paid under 9k, if that helps!?

Just accepted an offer of £9250. Pleased with that and a fair price in this market.

Good news.
Why on earth you'd sell it is the only question remaining for me...

It was indeed a lovely car and performed extremely well. Unfortunately my wife was a bit girly about the size of it (parking was an issue - she's only 5' 2") plus she was really only pootling around the burbs in it to visit mates and do a bit of shopping, so the petrol was getting a bit costly. We found her a new car which does 80 mpg and costs £30 a year to tax (you can imagine how powerful that car is then!!). I, however, wont be driving it in case a mate sees me! For pure driving pleasure my drug of choice is a TVR so, there it is, we didn't really need a large eurobox, we can do with a smaller one.

Sounds fair enough. I'd have a TVR myself if we had the space on the drive for a third car...
Maybe it's time we moved!

Now there's a thought! Independant income would also be helpful!
