Due to help a friend changes the above on his 1998 C180 Estate.

I've done plenty of discs and pads on other makes before, I take it there is nothing unusual to expect? No daft special tool needed (apart from me)?

TIA. smile

you will need a 12/13mm spanner to unbolt brake cailper retaining bolts, 18mm socket & ratchet to remove 2 bolts holding brake caliper cradle & then a male torx socket (T30 i think if memory serves me right) to undo the grub screw holding the brake disc onto the front hub. Oh yeh forget to say a 17mm socket to remove front wheels. Easy job to do but just remember to pump brake pedal before you drive vehicle once you've fitted new brakes.

Excellent, many thanks.

You'll also need a 9mm spanner to bleed the brakes.
