C63 Sport button

It doesn't seem clear in the handbook when this should be used.
Am I correct in thinking that this turns off all the driver aids when sport handling mode is displayed, if so is this really only used for track use.

If you hold Sport button down until the 'SPORT' mode light appears in the dash, then the ESP etc is only partly disabled. Traction control will still activate but will allow a bit more enthusiasm on the throttle.
Holding the SPORT button down until the ESP OFF light comes on will virtually switch aids off (but not completely) allowing the car to slide with but a hint of power....

I take it you meant the SPORT button in middle of dash below the Comand SATNAV screen and not the Sport mode on gearbox?
