I am in the market for either one of these two vehicles. I note their is a Brabus version for sale at the moment (and that particularly interest me!) and wondered what PH views were on these two vehicles?

the ml63amg is a fantastic jeep, the brabus one that you mention seems to expensive when you can get the facelift one for less.the facelift ml63 do seem to get snapped up quite quickly as soon as they come to market if they are priced right.
as a jeep the ml63 is a beast and could shock many a so called sports or supercar on the road.
the ml likes the juice i had 6.6 mpg around townyikes
but i would have another in a heartbeat probably one of the best understated cars out there.
try and get a facelift one if you can.

That Brabus one has been for sale for over a year and was orginally priced at £65k back then and I would say its probably still £10k overpriced now.

Cant see you being unimpressed with either truck but the X5 M is a newer design so may have the edge?

Try both and see what you think but I dont think you can go wrong with either if you can stomach the fuel costs and depreciation.

Hate to say it but the X5M looks better on paper and because its got twin turbos im sure it can be played with a lot. Specs below, id still prefer the ML though to be honest.

The one I am actually looking at is a Brabus ML - it looks great but I know what you mean about the BMW though - that is a great car too!!

Wonder if the Range Rover Overfinch is in the same price bracket? That's a great car as well.

It is a great car. But when you think of the perfomance of the Brabus, the noise and its presence - I am not sure the Overfinch is quite there.

No, but i'm sure its an animal and very luxurious. I am a merc man through and through but i'm always teased by a Rang Rover.

Hard to say, no matter how hard I tried he wouldnt drop. From a dealer, 2008, 16000 miles. Cost new £107k and i paid £55k. I figured 3 yrs at 50% was not bad for low mileage. Probably overpaid, but I am happy. Car is sort of unique and will sit well alongside my S65. I think the sound of 63 is to die for, and I now have best of both. Wife was well peed off though!!

that car was sold by bramleys when it was up for sale at £85k+ so you are right in the sense it is unique.you have a lovely collection of cars with the 16m as one of my favourites but of all the cars i have had the ml63 was amazing understated yet a monster on the road a bit like the s65.

Well it has arrived! Driven to Classic Car Show yesterday and thrilled. Comfortable and sounds wonderful. Nothing like the performance of the S65 but the feeling of height in a 4x4 and sound of the V8 is incredible. Fuel consumption on par with S65 at near 20mpg on distance drive. Excellent! Thanks for advice on those who advised this car vs M5.

Congratulations on your new toy!
Any chance you could post some pics of the beast?

Thanks.
