Buying From a Dealer - advice

Hi

Advice Please:
Seen a vehicle at a Dealership - Price was just reduced from £54k to £49k. Will there be anymore movement in the price?

Will be needing finance for this one (balloon payment would be ok). The vehicle is a 2011 model demonstrator with 8000 miles.

If it is Brooklands, hope its not one of their 'track' AMG's. The guy I was speaking to there on an AMG day said they track them for "7-8000miles or 6-months" and then sell them on as Ex-Demonstators with no disclosure to anyone that their whole lives have been spent being battered around the track!

Hold back on that opinion. AMG cars from MB World / Brooklands are maintained without fault and if anything they could actually be better than buying a genuine ex-demo or 1-owner vehicle. Cars are tested to the limit but anything that fails gets replaced immediately.

Oh don't get me wrong I appreciate that they are well looked after (and actually get a full service once a week) I just still think 'ex-demonstrator' describes exactly that, something which is pootled around in on test drives and not something which is effectively used as a race car all day every day. The guy on the drive with me even thought it was wrong when he was telling me about it!
