i think they are amazing cars i prefer the saloon myself.
I have an 11 plate 6.3 estate. Can't recommend it enough. Agree pan roof looks good, as does red brake calipers. Sports seats are good as is reverse camera (for central London anyway). Brilliant engine and personally I prefer it over the bi-turbo. Let me know if I can answer anything else.

thanks, had a look at the tenorite grey car at MB world Brooklands at the weekend - good spec, only pity being that it doesn't have the luxury leather pack (nappa seats, leather on dash and alcantara headlining), although bearing in mind the children will be destroying the rear seas with muddy wellies etc maybe thats not a bad thing. chose not to drive it though, as i struggle to say no after driving something that clearly is going to impress me.n.b. u can't get 7 seat option in the latest amg e class sw sadly.
My spec includes night vision and door sills which are pretty pointless really. If you type "Car magazine, E63 review" into google, you'll find a long term test together with a run down of the specs available and what the journo thinks is worthwhile. Re. cost, i actually chose to do a lease deal as I'm a little fearful about the residuals on these. Mine was £91k list and I didn't fancy having to sell that second hand and get my a$$ handed to me. I bet there are some good lease deals available right now for year end. Drove to Oxford from London in it yesterday in the pouring rain and it felt fantastic. Interestingly, since the Sunday Time wrote about the new bi-turbo version on Sunday I've had a few more people trying to race/slowing to view/generally more interest in the car. Go for it...

'kin 'ell, 91k. this one was first registered july 2010 with 8.5k miles on the clock advertised for a touch below 50 quid. i thought that was a bit rich too. my first ever Mercedes Benz was delivered today - '60 plate E63 6.2 normally aspirated wagon in obsidian black with luxury full nappa leather, lsd, dynamic seats, illuminated amg sill plates, blar blar, everything bar read seat tv's, ex mb head office car - bit early to say much about the car, but a highly entertaining drive this afternoon bodes well. hats off the mercedes direct hemel hempstead, first class service.

it does have the slippy diff but it's not delimited to the best of my knowledge. perfomance package on the latest bi-turbo E63 means an extra 30 odd bhp, but on the normally aspirated car it's just a delimit and AMG driving course. seawise said:

It's still quite early days, but i would say that whilst the drive is not quite as invigorating as the M5, it is a hell of a lot more animated than the RS6 is. And as an ownership prospect (ie comfort, refinement, practicality, systems, build quality) it is actually superior to the previous benchmark Audi. If i was to pick the most rounded car for me it would have a three pointed star on the bonnet....great car by the way the sound on these cars is amazing.
