2006 CLS Side Lights

Recently returned from a trip to France, whilst there, if I had the keys in the car but without the engine running it activates the side lights (as per UK)

HOWEVER - instead of the normal projector side lights, it activated an Audi style LED day running light.

Is this just an European thing or can you switch this option 'on' in the UK?????

Hi - did you find out more about this - I suppose a previous owner might have done some cheeky tuning???

Nope!!! I'm no further forward - looks like I'll have to live with the UK style side lights - its a hard life.................
