This is a long shot I know and about to post on MBClub after not having any luck with Ebay, Eurocarparts or a local breaker. Otherwise, it's off to the local dealer.

Something/someone has removed the cover from the passenger side indicator on the front wing of my wife's R170 (mk1) SLK, leaving the little bulb open to the elements. I think I just need a cover to pop back on over the top of the unit - I don't suppose anyone has a spare or is breaking a SLK?

Different car but I bought one of these for my old CE230, it cost about £5 I seem to recall. I bought it via Inchcape Oxford but I just googled the part and used one of the main MB dealers. I was surprised how cheap and widely available bits like this were for what was a 15+ year old car. Definitely not worth messing around with ebay and breakers IMHO.

Even if you don't know the part number or what it is called (eg on my CE230, the triangular piece on the automatic seatbelt feeder wore through - no idea what you would call it? but I described it to them by email and they sent the right bit, again only cost about £7!)

This person has been helpful in the past in identifying parts
