560 SEC Rear Windscreen

I have a '91 560SEC which is in great condition - and something I am keen to bring back to as-new condition. The only thing that bothers me is that the rear windscreen has some white staining around the edges.

Is this a byproduct of the glass delaminating? If it is, can it be repaired or am I looking for a new rear windscreen?

Any idea where one can even buy a rear windscreen? Here's the rub - I live in South Africa so come what may I think I'm going to have to pay through the nose to get one (have put the feelers out locally but nothing so far).

They're available from the dealer and also in the aftermarket. You may find that while your car was parked in your garage, a tin of paint fell of a shelf and broke your rear screen, necessitating a claim on your glass insurance.

You will also need new seals and it may be that the metalwork around the aperture will require de-rusting.

Might see if I can find a breaker in SA too.
