R230 SL500 - Exhaust options

One thing I've been very disappointed in with my SL500 is the rather muted, staid exhaust sound - the only time I can really hear it well is under bridges or in tunnels.
I'd like something a bit more fruity - I don't want to full-on bean-can Saxo experience, just something with a nice burble that maybe gets a bit of a wail on if I really give it the beans.
I was wondering about genuine AMG back boxes with the removeable resonators - does anyone know if they'll go onto a normal SL system?
Suggestions? Recommendations? I'm not massively concerned with the cost, however having said that I don't really think I could justify the £2500 for an Eisenmann.
