W211 Estate Rear Bumper

A piece of 'packing' has fallen out of the rear bumper on my 2009 W211 Estate and MB are not able to locate the part so I am appealing for some help here. In the centre of the bumper there is a piece of packing located between the top of the bumper cover and the support beam below. It keeps the top 'load lip' from flexing. It is held on with masking tape (amazing I know) and has fallen off-I noticed because the masking tape was hanging down like a tail on the car. MB Parts can't locate this and are sceptical that it even exists. Does anyone has a late model W211 Estate and can have a look (and a photo would be fantastic) and confirm this exists. Thanks.

Just had a poke around (09 Sport) - you're right. It feels like dense expanded polystyrene, about 30-40mm high and about 350mm wide. The tape feels like a piece of non-woven scrim - it feels loose, but the polystyrene appears to be a tight fit. I'll try and take and post a picture tomorrow if you still need it, but it's not in a very accessible position!

Thanks. If you can take a photo it would be great. MB can't find the part in their system and don't believe it is held on with tape!
