I am not in the market or a new car (I in fact never buy them as I cannot sufer the depreciation)
I however sometimes play spec my dreamcar and I always check pricelists on cars I am interested in to make sure I get the specs I want on a newish used one
Having looked at the current CLS pricelist I was rather astonished that MB seems to go ack to the bad old days where everything seems extra, but the worse or that also that you need to spec packets...
The old style cls warranted its hefty premium over an E class not only with design but a really good spec as well (full leather, electric heated seats, ambient lighting, climatronic ...)
Now I ind that this is almost all extra or downspecced - leather seats still standard but the rest part of a 3 k luxury packet which annoyingly only comes with a sunroo or another grand...
Also less leather colour options, presumably to ensure people buy designo...
\There are further little annoyances i.e. heated rear seats only with electric blinds...
Anybody else noticed this?
ar less likely somebody specs a car the way I want it in the future frown

Yah its a bit of a joke now, I bought a 5GT a few weeks ago and I did not have to add anything as it came with everything I wanted.
