This is a car I'm very much interested to see in the flesh in 2014.

That looks interesting and they'd be mad not to build it. There is a massive gap in the Merc range for a proper premium sports car to rival the 911. It is hardly a successor for the SL C gentleman's coupé, the finest coupé of all time, and so I hope they find a different designation. Perhaps SSL for "super sport light"? Or just S for "sports car"?
