So thinking about switching to a c63 estate - need a bit more space. The m3 saloon is almost perfect as the family wheels - but the boot is just a bit of a squeeze. So trying to cut thru the mpg crap. I get about 21 out of the m3 - anyone got an average long term cycle on a c63? Fom what I've googled they either seem unbelievably high or stupidly low. I don't do city driving (that's what the cab/train/tube is for!) - but A roads and motorways.... If It averages around 20 I'm happy... Though to be fair this v8 malarkey is getting a tad expensive!

A friend of mine as just picked up a saloon with about 50k on the clock and the fuel computer's never been reset; it was showing an average of 19.6mpg so pretty good IMO and about as real world example as you're going to get.

1150 miles and 17.5 mpg here. 20-22 easily poss on an A/B road journey if left in 'comfort' and driven with respect.. evil

Now, tyre wear is another topic
