Anyone else had their C63 AMG out on track?

Has anyone else driven their C63 AMG out on track?
I have the coupe, approx 6 months old, 4K miles, and when I was down at a track day yesterday with my other car I thought Id take her out for a spin for a session or two. The car was great and absolutely mullered anything on the straights but after approx 5-6 laps the car would go into limp home mode. Id say I was being quite conservative and was driving maybe 7-10th's tops and wouldnt have expected this. Ive seen plenty of the you-tube vids with journalists absolutely belting round tracks sideways without a hint of an issue. Has anyone else had a similar issue? I got a brief warning light when driving home that I should check the engine oil level at the next opportunity which I havent managed to do yet but I can hardly think the engine was suffereing from oil starvation. Surely an engine like this with the undoubted abuse from time to time expected would be engineered to avoid this?
Any info would be appreciated as I wouldnt mind taking her out on track for the odd blast but if it could end up with a knackered engine then Id rather not!

I am not privilaged to own one of these beasts, wish I did, but these engines at a young age are reknown for using a little oil, the guys that attended our recent trackdays in their C63s will reiterate this, their cars run fine now, and absolutly great sounding, lovely cars, but not always the quickest, depends who/whats there! Enjoy your wonderful car, its under warrenty, no problem, they are built to be raced, but not on the road please, keep going to the track days you will enjoy the moments. I have had such fun with my own 55 car, track daying than any other car I owned. Great days out.
I do a few days with Ricky and drive mine quite hard and am very hard on the brakes. I have a 2010 car with PPP.
Never had a problem apart from two minor ones...
Gearbox can make some harsh changes between 3rd and 4th.
The brakes do get very hot after a few sessions but are still usable.
Oh and the mpg drops to under 7!
It should handle track days with ease....
But they do use oil in the early period, but I would have expected a dash warning for whatever reason caused the limp mode.
