I'm interested in buying one and just wanted to know what owners thought of them and generally whether they'll retain the premium over the standard C63

Thanks

I've driven a mk1, one of the most exciting cars I've ever driven!

as for residuals it'd depend on whether you mean the new one or not?

I think it will retain a premium, but whether it keeps a 60% premium over a C63 PPP will remain to be seen. I personally think the C63 PPP gives 90% of what the Black offers (and unofficially probably the same amount of power!)

I'm also considering the Black Series - the C63 looks good on paper, but the Black looks sublime; in for a penny..... as they say!
Do you know if you can still factory order, or is it built cars in stock within the dealer franchise that are only left?
Any existing owner thoughts also appreciated.
Thanks
Graham

Original CLK has done rather well residual wise.Contemporary GT3RS was £5k less list price (though in reality about the same) and the very few Blacks around (17 only in the UK ) trade at a good £10k above them these days, lots more for low mileage.
I think MB are selling only 66 of the "C" Black. Should do well I reckon as long as they remain rare
Not quite so special as the original IMO but a brilliant road car thats a interesting alternative to the usual suspects

Is that the one at MB Brentford on the A4? If so I'm VERY jealous, looked at it on Sunday and was about to go back in and have a chat this weekend. Went in originally to discuss a C63 Estate, but then saw this and my jaw dropped. Bet you wont be able to wipe the grin off your face for the next few months, ENJOY!!!!

Yes I believe it came from there - my local dealer 'found' it within the network; They trailered it to here, so has just 18 miles on the clock. Sounds lovely - even at tickover!
Another iPhone snap!

What a car! beer
Had mine only a few days, but already falling in love! I was quite worried that the ride would be shocking having seen JC on TopGear being controversial as ever regarding the stiffness of the suspension, but he's a plonker; it's just right!
The turn in and fluidity of the chassis is superb - just been for a lunchtime run about around the Cat & Fiddle and its awesome. Keeping the revs down under 4000 still equates to more than adequate velocity! I can't wait to explore the upper rev range and all that power. It's one heck of a motor - the start up snarl is spine tingling!
Mine is the 4 seater version, and I was a little dismayed when I first saw the front seats, as I thought the Recaro buckets were standard fitment; but needn't have worried, as the 'std' AMG C63 chairs are supportive and hugging.
I must take a whole load of pictures - just too busy driving and enjoying it at the moment - just one here when I took delivery on Sat morning.
