As per the title really, Looking at getting an E-class cabriolet and was wondering how effective it is in the real world.

The Missus has been in a friends Z3 and really hated the open top experience as she was buffeted and her hair blew all over the place.
Yet she still likes the idea of open top driving but no,t the wind so if this was any good then it may be the car for us.

PS. Its not so easy for us to get test drives as because we would be getting it through my work and not from a dealer, they generally dont want to know, which I can apreciate as they won't get a sale.

No experience of Aircap, but I can tell you that the wind deflectors that fit behind the front seats are immensely effective! Had one in my Audi Cabrio and it made a massive difference to the amount of turbulence.

The other point of interest is that four seater convertibles usually have side glass behind the front windows. That makes a big difference too compared to two seater sports cars that generally don't.

Add the aircap as well, and I doubt you'll even know you're in a convertible.
