Trying to trace a Mercedes we used to own

Ive tried one of the vehicle websites and see that the w126- 300TE my dad used to own is still on the same registration plate. Im interested in buying the car back, setimental reasons of course.
Unlikely anyone on here but it was a nautic blue with grey interior from 1992J reg (private plate) car was registered Orignally from Glasgow (us)

How can i find out the owner and his details? dvla?

DVLA I would have thought, they may charge you a few quid. Or if you know someone in the insurance industry they will have access to the database.

Be warned, the car may not have been as well looked after as you hope....
