MB service B

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a garage in the Sheffield area for a B service for my CLK.

What does the B service comprise of?

The answer is in your manual.

The size of the service is related to the letter so the biggest is A then B. What is done depends on what needs doing. I usually pay about £200 for a B service at an independent.

Has anyone one used Europa Prestige or Autotronic?

I could look at the manual but in work and don't fancy trudging back to the multi storey car park.

As for the Service i know the B service is a major service so as above £200 isn't bad.

Depends on mileage, age, fuel type, transmission and more. B alone means nothing, you could need plugs, gearbox oil change, brake fluid change, coolant change etc etc.

And if it's a Merc specialist £200 sounds cheap, even for a standard B service with no extras. My local indy Merc specialist (Central Scotland which is normally cheaper than 'down sarf') would charge £220 for that service on a CLK, assuming no additional work required.

thanks for the replies i just had a quick walk to a german specialist (swift performance) at dinner and got quoted £325

Going to ring round a few before deciding on who to go to.
