Franchise V Retail
Discussion
Hi all,any thoughts on the following.
Is it a Myth or any truth that you are better off dealing with a Mercedes Retail outlet than a Franchise in the respect of "deals" "service" etc.
My nearest Mercedes place is on the Chiswick Roundabout West london and I have found out it is in fact a Retail outlet.
Cheers,Pete

I've bought 2 Mercs from franchised dealers & 2 from Mercedes retail direct.
Retail seem mucher keener for the business, and have been happy to move on windscreen price by a fair chunk, however don't seem too keen on paying book for trade-ins.
Franchise on the other hand have been harder to negotiate with in terms of windscreen price but more flexible on trade-in bid, keener finance quotes, a willingness to through in extras to seal the deal.
I wouldn't favour one over the other, buying experience, handover and car preparation equally decent all round.
