Anyone suffer from this or know any fixes.

Particularly rattly around the NSF corner of the roof.......Drives me insane but there so much mechanism there I don't know where to start

Just wondered whether there was a common theme

Can no one use Google anymore? There's a wealth of information on this well documented common fault from the simplest of searches!

Lube the rubbers to start, the Pana roof is heavy and will rattle more than a metal one but lube still helps.

I'm I'm so very pleased there's a solution because I thought the roof was about to fall off and it totally ruins the drive.

Funny thing is my Wife never noticed the racket and its her car

When I bought mine there were several rattles that I suppose most people wouldn't take any notice of, but any squeak or rattle drives me insane! It's taken me months to get them all, but it's super silent now.

The one at the front where you descibe was one of the star headed screws in the front of the roof that had become slightly loose, just open the roof a bit and tweek them all up.

There was another across the parcel shelf at both sides which just needed lubrication.

The one that took the longest to find came from the boot area (very subtle flapping noise) which I eventually eliminated by lowering the adjustable boot catch fully and lubricating the locating plastic lugs on each side of it.

There was also a slight noise from the drivers door storage box/arm rest hinge which just needed lubricating.

So your roof doesn't rattle over bumps? If so you've got the only one in the UK

No it doesn't! It did when I took it for a test drive and the guy said "oh they all do that" which I didn't accept on that quality of car.

I must say I am fanatical about any slight rattle or squeak, but I've never had one yet that has beat me.

Hahaha! So it is not only me with this OCD? I have yet to start to properly sort the squeaks & rattles in my SL500 (Pano Roof) but like you. "They shall be beaten."

I had an E55 with two very distict 'clonks' from the rear if cornered with any enthusiasm. To cut a 6-month story short I dropped something behind the autochanger in the boot one day. Whilst rummaging around looking for said item I discovered 2 golf balls that had been swilling around all this time. Both pleased and furious all at the same time. Enjoyed the car a lot more after this discovery!
