Say you're interested in a new ML63 stickered up at £100k (options), what sort of discount would you be aiming for? 10%?

Yes more.

I'd be tempted to start at 20-25% and to potentially use financing as a bargaining tool etc.

Anyone picked up one recently? What discount % did you get?

I have one on order - it's been built and waiting at the port in Brunswick for the storm to subside so that it can be shipped over here!

I couldn't get any deal other than a couple of extras thrown in for free, on a car specced close to £100k. However, the finance deal at 4.9% APR with a £7100 dealer contribution meant that you could look at it as either a 7% discount or an almost interest-free deal.

I think MB have a similar finance deal running at the moment on this car. The Porsche Cayenne deals didn't come close.

Were you looking at Cayenne Turbos? I've a good relationship with Porsche....Merc seem keener though.

Yes I was looking at a new Cayenne Turbo and our local Porsche dealer was pretty disinterested while Mercedes managed to get me a test drive in one of the MB execs own ML63 as there were no demo cars anywhere. Plus the finance deal on the ML was far better.

Saying that, the first MB dealership I approached (one that I had previously bought a new E55 from) promised to call me to sort out a time to discuss the ML with them. It was even the same sales guy. Never heard from him again.

Happy to have a look at numbers for you. There's more money available if you're looking at finance, even if you're only borrowing £5k.

Marc

Is this figure based on your own experience (with the SLS). I was always aware that Mercedes Finanace could be used as a bargaining tool but I was never sure what were the discount percentages. In addition could you negotiate 20% for say a 50k vehicle.

I negotiated an approximate 23% discount on the SLS it was a car that was being held in stock by MB UK; the thread is here:

I think 20% is unlikely on a 50K vehicle, but it provides a place to start!

Anyone had any experience of discounts specifically on the AMG 63's? Either E / ML / something like that? I know there are / were discounts on the SLS as I was looking at one before I needed a bigger car ha! smile

There seem to be a few stock cars about, all in black.
