Iphone problems and new mercedes comand system

my eclass is about 4 months old and on flicking through telephone list it shows names in reverse of whats listed in iphone i.e Mercedes Benz becomes Benz Mercedes which is a problem when you cant remember mates surnames, supplier said known problem either change them back to front in phone (great reply) or wait for update...so anyone bought one lately?

ps have tried talking to command but end up shouting at it....

It does the same with Blackberry, contacts are listed surname first, then first name, it's been discussed before and the general consensus was it can't be changed.

i perfer them listed:
surname,firstname (Smith, John)
ather than firstname, surname (John Smith)

So I wouldn't call it a bug more Germanic precision!

My C Class Comand does the same, but have to admit that I dont really find it a problem since I know all of my contacts surnames.

Have tried and failed many times, about 500 contacts..less than 50% comes up with the correct one in the list.

Just can't understand why the can't stick with the iphone layout of John Smith rather than Smith John...makes sense last command system did, or at least allow list to be switchable.
